[GreenKeys] Model 19 - Motor speed setting

A Model 28 at 60 wpm would last longer than at 100
wpm, but it could experience "slow speed" problems
that wouldn't occur at 100 wpm!. For instance,
the return of the carriage has different dynamics as does
the selection of codes at the code bars and in the stuntbox.
If the machine is at peak adjustment, then these
"problems" probably wouldn't manifest themselves.
You can run a Model 28 "by hand" and watch everything setup,
but might not print because it needs the momentum of
the mechanics at speed for complete functionality.
Here's how to do it: turn on your loop, but don't turn
on the machine's motor. Hand turn the motor (the RIGHT WAY!)
and hit a character on the keyboard. You will see the printer
trip and setup the character and even "tap" the type pallet.
But, it might not print solidly due to the lack of momentum on
the type hammer, and so on. But, it will work!!

I have a Model 28 machine.
I never really thought about this, and I don't have much experience
with these machines. Will a Model 28 last longer or have less problems
if you run it at 60 WPM rather than 100 WPM?
