We have been using #82 bulbs in Teletype machines for at least 30
years. They work just fine. We had an alternate bulb we used when a
customer frequently broke them. They had a stronger glass envelope
and filiment and lasted longer but were special order. I remember
they had four numbers but I don't remember the numbers.

Teletype Corporation specified part number TP334166 Bulb 6V-3 candle
power. These are GE #64.
There is also a bulb replacement tool TP330993. These are all copy
lamp bulbs. Other applications may use other bulbs.
