Welll - hadda purty good time, tho we were so busy setting up and
selling that I never had much of a chance to check for the other
Listmembers who were there - really sorry I missed you! The infrastructure
of the Meet seemed rather chaotic and scattered, and, for an event of that
magnitude, there was a quite a surplus of disinformation, much of it
promulgated by pompous and self-important schmucks with their Attitude
Multipliers going full blast.... but I digress.

Neither was there much old ClatterPrinter gear in evidence. We got there
Thur nite and set up early Fri morning - during which I walked around and
trolled for pre-meet RTTY goodies. Saw a few TUs and gadgets - my friend
bought a Heath knockoff of either the Kantronics or Hal RTTY/CW -> RS232
I/O box, and I found a cute little Heath crossed-LED mark-space tuning
display. and a full set of Mod 35 manuals (for $5.00). BUT- no real
'gear'; no commo vans full of Kleinschmidts, no rental trucks crammed with
Model 15s and 28ASRs and racks of cast-off WECO TTY test gear.... damn!

I *did* come home with a car load of other Stuff, however, so it was
quite satisfying in that respect, and my friend and I sold over $400 worth
of 'goodies' over the three days.... not counting the Junque we donated to
he auction on Sunday.

Oh yeah - the other thing I got was an incredibly nasty sunburn, but
that was free!

  Cheers
