Web,

I have a Dovetron FSK-1000 which is quite similar to the
unit you have...and I have manual. Just a few less features
on my Dovetron.

This has loop output and logic level outputs so I run heavy metal
as well as PC RTTY.

Can probably help you a little in either mode. Their are also FAR
more RTTY savy ppl on this reflector! If you have any version
of sound blaster card you can also just inject audio from Rx into it
and from it to Tx. If you wanna go RS-232 serial there are a lot of
programs that the Dovetron will communicate with directly.

I normally do not use the loop supply in the Dovetron. I have 4
constant current loops (60 ma no matter in nothing plugged in or
5 units plugged in) and all are keyed by the +12 logic level using
the venerable MJE-340 transistor with .1 ufd cap in series with
470 ohm 1 watt resistor across collector and emitter to protect
transistor from inductive kickback.

I prefer mod 14-15-19 rather than 28 or newer, and also the
Kleinschmidt TT-98. On all I do NOT key the loop from the
keyboard, rather I use logic level DC on the keyboards and TDs
fed to the Dovetron...this prevents hash noise and prolongs life
of contacts!

Lemme know if diagram of FSK-1000 would help you. Oh,
I found some links to your Dovetron on www.dogpile.com
and www.google.com but did not go to the pages.
