Well, it looks to me like it is the handle of some sort of brush.
It looks like the bristles must have been pressed into the holes
at the left end. Usually the bristles have a small sort of hairpin
loop around them which is pressed closed when it is pushed into
the hole in a brush handle. Look for scratches lengthwise down
in the insides of the holes. There was nothing in the picture to
indicate relative size of anything. It is often handy to put some
sort of commonly recognizable item next to an object to indicate
relative size. A penny or a paper clip would be handy in this case.
Of course a small ruler can also be used.
  Let's see who else comes up with any ideas.
