This item is a Western Union Strip Printer. It is a later one based 
on a Model 14 by Teletype Corporation (Chicago). The earlier ones 
have a tag that reads Morkrum Kleinschmidt. It was used to print 
telegrams by printing characters on 3/8" wide gummed tape which was 
then moistened and cut to fit on the telegram form.  The machine we 
have in the museum runs at 60 wpm.  The problem with these machines 
is that it is almost impossible to get the skinny paper tape.

A few of our friends in Europe have been looking for some for our museum.
