This reminded me of something that the late Irv Hoff W6FFC worked out
for the Model 28 stuntbox. I still have at least one machine set up
this way; but I don't remember all the particulars. Irv and friends
ran an autostart RTTY circuit. Irv was not universally admired in
ham radio circles; and some mischievous individual got the idea of
starting up their machines and then sending enough LFs to run all the
paper out of the machine. The stuntbox mod for RTTY involved something
like putting in the auto-CR-LF kit and also arranging so that a CR also
did a line feed, the LF character was ignored, and only one line feed
at a time until something else had been received. Maybe George remembers
it all better than I do.
