For your close attention:
NADCOMM - San Diego has become an integral part of the Computer
Museum of America (CMA).
CMA is an IRS recognized 501(c)3 non-profit organization. David will
be faxing me a copy of the IRS letter recognizing the museum.
As we are all getting older it is becoming more and more difficult to
support a separate museum, especially when most directors are so far
away... from Arkansas to Illinois to Ohio to New York to Iraq.
Any donations to NADCOMM will be recognized as contributions to the
CMA - NADCOMM department. As always, your continued support for the
mission of the collective museum still retains its importance for
future generations. I have spent 18 years in this effort and do not
want to give up now!
During the next couple of weeks volunteers are needed to move stored
data communications and teletypewriter equipment from the third floor
of the current location at 640 "C" Street, San Diego. Some items will
be moved to the basement and others to the museum warehouse. If you
can assist please contact David Weil, executive director of the
museum at (619) 235-8222 or via email at: [email protected]
Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays are the best days to assist in this
effort. The third floor must be cleared out before Christmas as the
land-lord is taking the space over to build apartments. The entire
museum will be moving from downtown to the Coleman College campus
during the months of April and May. In between these times
additional storage space and volunteer workers will be needed as the
warehouse space we have now will no longer be available to us.
Thank you for anything you can do.
Warm regards,
Don
