Here is an example of a monitoring report from the World Utility News
newsletter of Jan 2003. It reports a press station on RTTY. I didn't
think there were any left but apparently there is this one:
"
::: SUNA Khartoum Over Christmas Mark Zavatsky in Connecticut posted a log
and some queries in respect of Sudan News Agency (SUNA) Khartoum's 19463
kHz press transmisssion - yes one of the very few still in existance.
Subsequent monitoring has produced the current information. Transmission
mode: RTTY // 50bd Normal 140Hz shift. Transmission slots at 0900 French
1000 English 1500 French 1600 English. The marker is
zczc..........zczc..........zczc..........zczc..........zczc and a couple
of lines of RYs. The slot is 25-30 minutes long and can be slow to get
underway with long marker period down to virtually no marker. Frequency
stability varies a little including the shift. Trafffic usually averages
two items but occasionally sends none. The SUNA ID is in the item header.
