Letters of A Radio Engineer to His Son by Mills. This is a 1922 hardback =
book
written by a Western Electric engineer. It covers radio set principles =
and
construction. Cleverly done. His son must have been older because this =
is=20
written at a reasonably high level. In good shape but showing age and =
wear
on covers. Scarce book. $45

Getting The Most Out Of Your Image Orthicon, published by RCA in 1956. =
About=20
20 pages with photos. Adapted from a lecture. Good shape. $11

Alton Brand's Ham Equipment Buyers Guide, 1945--1982, in 2 loose-leaf =
volumes.
Before there was Moore's Receivers and Transmitters books, the only =
thing=20
available were these volumes from Alton Brand, who was the publisher of =
the
famous Ham Trader Yellow Sheets. The photos aren't great and the =
descriptions
are sometimes lacking. But transceivers are covered and many accessories =
are
included. $15/both volumes.

Sylvania Radio Circuit Hints and Sylvania Radio Equipment Hints. These =
are two
pocket-size booklets circulated by Sylvania during the war (1943). Each =
is about
20 pages. These discuss why certain design principles are important =
(Circuit Hints)
and specific repair problems and techniques for broadcast receivers =
(Equipment=20
Hints) with emphasis on the VTVM. In good condition. $4/both
