Sorry to hear of your emergency. My goal is to help someone else

The old radio hobby is getting very expensive. However because the
economy has recently been off, to say the least, many good radios are
coming up on ebaY. You might also want to join the Boat Anchors
email list. Go to http://www.qsl.net and look over the listings.
Also check out http://www.qth.net and perhaps you should get in
contact with Christian Fandt at the American Wireless Association.
He can probably help you more than I can.
