Thanks to all of you who have submitted your comments on the petition
now before the FCC, RM-10765, to establish, administer, and regulate the
Homeland Public Press and Information Widecast Service.

Today, 21 September, is the last day comments can be submitted. The
window closes this evening at midnight, Eastern Time.

An operational error at the FCC delayed permitting filing comments for
the first week through the Electronic Comment Filing System. The FCC was
shutdown due to the hurricane Thursday and Friday, so we could not
contact the person in charge of that step in the process to see if
another week could be allowed.

Comments can still be filed, but they must be filed as "ex parte/late
filed", which can be done by checking the appropriate box on the FCC
cover sheet.

This is a rare opportunity to establish a whole new radio service. If
you get the time, please consider putting in your thoughts.
