Hi,

Another time issue in net operation is the carrier detect timing on the 
TU. Obviously we can build a TU with about any time constant  We can 
also transmit as much carrier as we need to in order to fire up the 
carrier detect. We also want to be compatible with as much stuff as we 
can be. So the question is -- how much carrier is enough to turn just 
about any TU on? If we are setting up timing in PIC's and that sort of 
thing we may need to identify this stuff a little more precisely than 
we have in the past. Also if we are going to be building a new batch of 
TU's it would be nice to know what to set up the carrier detect to act 
on. Timing is everything .....
