Well, of course, Irv died several years ago after retiring from United.
I don't know about the others, but there are a lot of old-time RTTY nuts
in the woodwork.
I bought the compete set of the RTTY Journal on CDROM and it's very
nostalgic to scan those TU construction articles. I never built a TTL2
but started with Irv's ST3. With all the plug and play stuff, nothing
comes close to seeing a M28 print from your own handiwork.
$1,000 for a M28ASR was a good price in those days. I sold a nice one
to a guy in S. California for three times that amount. On the other
hand, the Mouse machines were virtually free.
