Ahh, the age of interchangeable and standard parts! It's ending, alas,
as microproduction and small-run customization becomes practical, but it
really is a great thing. Disk brakes from the late 1980's bolt on
without modification on my 1963 Rambler! Now that's interchangability...

A friend just found out that a very recent Cadillac Northstar 32-valve
V8 engine is *not* rebuildable -- no oversized pistons are made for it.
R & R a V8!
