[GreenKeys] Color Codes-- responses

Thanks to all who responded about the color code question.

I spent 15 years working for Ma Bell and can't recall anything that
supports reversing the color code (RED is positive and BLACK is
negative). And, the responses I got were sorta supportive of that.

This question popped up when I was reviewing a "Quality Standards" manual
published by M/A-COM (Motorola's only serious competitor in the Public Safety two-way radio business...successor to G.E.). Their base station radios run at 48VDC and they specify RED for negative and BLACK for positive. As a few of you mentioned, RED is "hot"...I guess the polarity doesn't matter? Still confusing to me....
