Hi Roy

Good to get your email. I made my first contacts yesterday on the glass
screen, and I was going to make my first contact on the 19 set and the 14 today,
but when I ran a simple test on the out put of the ST5A, I found that the two
tones are right next to and completely touching each other on the water fall
MMTTY screen or scope. The ST5A receives and sends to the teletypes perfectly,
but until today I have not tried to transmit out throug it using AFSK. The
two red lights on the front flash back and forth as they should, and you can
just make out the audio of the two tones, but as I said they are almost on top
of each other. The regular scope, (I don't know the name for it) shows the two
tones on top of each other also. We see one loop on the screen with the
other loop with wiggles wrapped around the first loop or tone. I bet there is an
adjustment for this, but without a manual for the PEMCO ST5A, I don't want to
start playing with a small screw driver on the inside. I was so close to the
first transmit using a prepunched tape on the TD.

OOps, I got off the subject. The 14 reperf does not have green or cushioned
keys, and I think it is from the 30s. I used a #2 pencil eraser for the
platen, and it works great. Clean clear print, and what a cool big period. Now
that says this is the end of the sentence. Here is the number off the front:
FPR29GS235. I would sure appreciate a manual, so I can check the adjustments.
If you send, I will copy and return the manual and insure it and pay postage
and for your time.

Good to hear from you Roy.
I have almost got the 19 and 14 glowing.
