[GreenKeys] Hoffnet

Hi Jim,
HoffNet is an undirected net, really just a chat frequency, that a
number of us on GreenKeys are trying to get started up on 30 meters so
that our mechanical teletype machines can get some exercise and there
will be a gathering place where RTTY enthusiasts can gather. There are
a number of stations that are planning on getting on HoffNet but todate,
only a few have been regular attendees. I am very much in hopes that we
can generate more interest.
The frequency we monitor is 10.137300 Mhz, Mark, with the space signal
shifter 170 htz lower. K7TTY and myself (K4EEG) have made a series sof
broadcasts on the frequency sending net calls and amateur radio
bulletins. We have had a few folks check in and chat but no continuous
activity like we hope to generate. We sure would welcome your presence.
I have been off for several weeks while I redo my antennas. I was in
the process of putting up a wire beam but I think I am just going to put
up a dipole for now. I had been using a vertical with mixed results.
K7TTY was getting much better results with an inverted L. A dipole up
48 feet will do nicely. I look forward to seeing you there.
Best regards -- Roy Norris, K4EEG

Could someone tell me please what Hoffnet is? I think it's an RTTY
net. If so I'd really like to get involved. Actually if there are ANY
RTTY nets out there I'd love to know about them. Thanks in advance.
