My last post on this forum invited those interested in some Harris RF-230
Transceivers to let me now who you are.
The computer on which I saved all that info barfed itself, and all info is
lost, so I will once again put out the word that I have these items
available. I am not sure of the total count as I have literally lost count
of how many there are.
There are four preset antenna couplers, and a number of the special
interconnect boxes so that one can easily access the input and output audio
lines, cabling for the antenna couplers, etc. I cannot guarantee that
everything is operational, but for the most part it was pulled from
operating Canadian navy Ships, and was with the understanding that
everything was serviceable. I am not sure what it is worth, but after seeing
what things go for on ebay, I think $500 for a full set (Transceiver, Power
Supply, Coupler and Interconnect Cabling) is not unreasonable.
I have retired from Rockwell-Collins, and have found a new home in Sequim,
WA, which is significantly smaller than where we are now. A good portion of
my stash of equipment will be disposed of. Today I start pulling it all out
of the garage to see what all is there, and I will post a list of available
goodies, and photos if I get the time.
I will not profit from most of this as I was given custody of it by its
former owners in order to keep it from the dump, and find new homes where
possible. Items I had to buy I will try to recover at least what they cost.
I have at least forty cases of teletype paper, and maybe the equivalent to
ten cases of tape. I am just not sure.
Anyone wishing to bring a truck, load it all up and agree with the proviso
that the stash be distributed to those wanting/needing/begging because they
can't live without it or they need something to make a machine run, will be
wecome.
So, here's your chance to add to your collection of goodies, and keep it
from the dump. I will box and ship where possible, for whatever the cost of
the materials used to do so, and you pay the shipping. Those of you who have
seen the stash know to a degree what is there, and I think will agree that
it is a worthy pile.

73, it's been a good run.
George, W7TTY
