Alex,

Thanks for the info. I finally got to fire up the 75A-4 for the first time 
last night and I am quite pleased with how it runs.  I tuned around at the 
low end of 80 meters, but did not hear any tty signals.  This was after 9 
pm local here in DC.  I was using a 40-10 meter mulitple dipole, though. 
I'll lash up the ladder-line fed zepp to an antenna tuner and see if that 
works better.

I expect that they will work quite well. The nice power level will 
compensate a bit for the antenna being quite low.  Maybe soon I can hook up 
a laptop with a tty program running to at least copy some signals before I 
get the more normal tuning units and heavy metal machines back in operation.
