[GreenKeys] Model 12

Very well, Gerry. I will stand down since you were the first to mention
an interest in the machine, publicly on Greenkeys. I don't want to get
into a bidding contest with you.
But so much for your statement, "Think I'll bid on that model 12 so it
doesn't go to the wrong place or the junkheap." You obviously want the
machine for yourself. (How very "California" of you!) That's fine, but
I really hope you will reconsider donating the Model 12 and the Stock
Ticker to Don House's museum, at some point, so that it can be preserved
in a fashion so that many people can enjoy it and these historic
instruments can be preserved for the long term future.
My bid on Ebay is for $500 so you can easily best that by simply bidding
to the next bidding increment. I will cancel my much higher Esnipe bid.
Many thanks to John Lawson who offered to assist with payment in case
the bidding went higher than $750.
Don, I am very sorry I was not able to secure this equipment for the
museum.

Hi Roy,
I think I will bid on this equipment. I can't make any guarantees
about
donations to the museum although this would be a natural place for it to
go
if the time comes about. My interest is as a collector since I've been
around this stuff since I was a boy and I'll probably have some time to
do
some restoration in the future.

Hi Gerry,
Well, I already put a minimal bid in and backed it up with a substantial
bid on Esnipe to cover competitive bidding. If you really want the
stuff and will make certain the model 12 eventually gets to Don House's
museum, I will stand down. But if not, I would enjoy having it for a
while. I have already made arrangements that my entire collection of
some 18 Teletype machines will go to Don's museum upon my death or loss
of interest, or running out of room !

Hi Roy,
Unless you want to toss a coin not sure what you want to do. Have any
ideas?

HI Gary,
I am bidding on it as well. I just want the Model 12 for my collection
and ultimately to be donated to Don House's museum along with all of my
TTY equipment. Lets not bid each other up.

Think I'll bid on that model 12 so it doesn't go to the wrong place or
the
junkheap.
Have no idea how I'll get all that junk out to San Diego. Anybody have
any
good ideas?
