Hi

Three minutes - YIKES !!!

Have you considered upgrading the PDP-8 to more than 4 K of core memory 
or maybe feeding the hamster on the treadmill another peanut?

 From what I have seen ripping CD's on to MP3 players that's a lot of 
latency for a modern machine. I wonder what's going on?
