Well, I for one have to agree with your assessment.  The keyboard is not 
teletype the case could be military or Bell System internal use, like 
the 35KSR's that were built into the the 1ESS offices, they were a bit 
strange, and yes, I've not seen that style of toggle switch used by 
teletype. Based on the keyboard, it's a 5 level machine, but I don't 
really see a family resemblance to a model 12, 15, 19, 26, 28, or 32?  
the ribbon spools in the front are unusual.

Maybe it's a mite or Klienschmidt, and somebody put on the teletype name 
as a joke!!
