[GreenKeys] IBMmainframe terminals?

If they are 3270 type terminals, then it's very doubtful that you can attach them to a PC. Most were connected to the mainframe via
a 3174 or 3274 controller box using coax cable. From the 3174/3274 to the mainframe the connection was either channel attached,
using Bus & Tag cables or ESCON fiber channels; or they were link attached using IBM's SNA/SDLC protocols while connected to a IBM
Front End Processor (ex. a 3745).

Somewhat related, you can run some of the earlier IBM mainframe operating systems for free (ex. MVS 3.8J and VM/370 R6) on a PC
(under Windows or Linux) using the Hercules mainframe machine code emulator, and connect to it using TN3270 emulation software.

Subject: [GreenKeys] IBMmainframe terminals?

I saw some postings a few days ago about old IBM mainframe terminals.

Is it possible to connect one of these vintage terminals to a PC?

Is there any other way they can be used?

Cheers.

Jeremy
