[GreenKeys] Loop electronics - a request for assistance

Gil,

That hasn't been my experience, at least with 14/15 family machines. I once
tried to run a 15KSR and then a 14 typing reperf on a loop supplied by the 28
VDC supply for my T-47/ART-13. On a local loop keyed by a FOX tape in a
14TD, the range was less than 10 points with the holding magnet 15 and zero points
with the pulling magnet 14. With both in the loop, neither would print error
free. So I did it the way the book said and built a 120 VDC supply for the
TTY's.

The advantage of a 120 volt loop supply and 2500 ohm rheostat (standard
shipboard setup) is that you can patch in quite a few machines without affecting
the range, even if some are quite some distance away.
