I have seen 2 collections ruined when stored in a container.

Containers are suitable for security only.
They leak and everything inside rusts.
If you use one,
put it up on blocks so that air can circulate under it.
Then put a roof over it to keep the rain and heat off.
The roof should be sloping corrugated iron (or some roofing material),
on 4 posts, with an air gap. 
The water runs off, the roof airgap helps keep the heat out.
