[GreenKeys] Strange printing on 28KSR?

Hello all,

This AM I had my ST6 looped to my 28 ASR and 28 KSR printing ITTY.  Both printers were running along just fine. Then at some point, the KSR started printing gibberish.  I took it off the loop and ran it by itself just typing on the keyboard with loop current.  Here's what I type and here's what prints:

C C
D F
E S
F F
G V
H H
I I
J K
K K
L P
M M
N N
O M

and so on.  

A) anyone know what might cause this
B) Any chance a total novice with limited mechanical skills could fix it? I am REALLY hoping it just needs some oil!!
