You can do the same thing by going directly to the FCC website at 
http://wireless2.fcc.gov/UlsApp/UlsSearch/searchLicense.jsp

You can also go to a number of Web sites, such as www.qrz.com and 
www.hamcall.net, that summarize this information for stations around 
the world.

It would be difficult to exchange QSLs if this information were not 
available. It's better than the old paper callbooks, more up-to-date 
and free.

I am not sure this is so nice. I guess few people will now be able to 
falsify their license with this database on-line. 
With over one million names and addresses available world-wide, some 
enterprising folks could make up huge mailing lists.
