Charles,

With regard to the difference between vacation and retirement by all means
straighten these people out.   That's like saying that glass and metal
teletype are the same!   But retirement is, as you say, one of the most
limiting things imagineable where ham radio is concerned.   If she catches
me spending any time in the shack you'd better believe that the "to do" list
expands with force that would make a Russian Superbomb look like a
firecracker!

And now that I've added two model 28's and the software directed radio in a
six month period I might as well slit my wrists!
