Patch Panel Interested folks.
I have a little army-green patch panel that I now learn is basically the
same as the "1203" panel - without the current set rheostats or
meter. It's called the
"63 C 1 Telegraph Switch Board"
I have a picture of it and a scan of the wiring diagram pasted in the
cover. It has four "channels" each with two Looping jacks and one SET
jack, and four "MISC" jacks. That's all there is to it, but upon pondering
how to use it, I decided that it will do about all the switching and
patching I need in the station I envision for my place.
I figure it would manage the following:
- Four line printer sets, with keyboard or not (Model 15, Model 28, Mite, ...)
- Four terminal units (Dovetron1, Dovetron2, IRS FSK 1000, HAL ST-6000)
- Four peripherals (M-14 T/D 1, M-14 T/D 2, M-14 Typing Reperforator,
Transmitting FSK Exciter)
And it would pretty much mix and match any of these to any other of these.
Instructions inside the "63 C 1 Telegraph Switch Board":
Notes:
1. Wires not otherwise specified are 24 C2
2. Patching cords shall in all cases be inserted into the (SET) Jk. before
being inserted in a (LOOPING) Jk. to avoid opening the line CKT. In
disconnecting remove cord from (LOOPING) Jk. before removing it from (SET) Jk.
Because of all this discussion, and the kind posting of the info on the
1203, I have put the 1203 on the wanted list here.
