I'm experiencing an odd problem with a COMPAQ PC
running Millenium.  The machine seems to stop "computing"
every twenty seconds for approximately 3-4 seconds, then
starts working again. When running Heavymetal, it just stops
the data flow, when using ITTY, it interrupts the audio. Even if
I'm just using the machine to write a WORD document, it stops taking
keyboard input for the same timeframe (it's even doing it now as
I type this email). Does anyone have any ideas? I've turned off
any virus scans or other "scheduled" tasks. Otherwise,
the machine works fine...I have the problem when on-line or
off-line. I eliminated the printer port (don't use a printer with
this machine) and tried to find any other reason for this
"interrupt" but with no luck. To make matters worse, 
sometimes the "problem" isn't there at all....
Any ideas?
