The Model 26 is an interesting, historic machine. One may be seen in operation in the opening scenes of the movie "Casablanca" where it receives the message about the two Greman couriers "killed in the desert". They were carrying the famous Letters of Transit.
The Model 26 table is an integral part of the machine. There are pins sticking up out of the table surface that locate the machine on the table. And the paper feed arrangement is incorporated into the table which has a slot in the top for feeding the paper into the machine through a slot in the back of the machine.
I hope you get it working.
"And by the way, Rick. Where did you hide the Letters of Transit when we searched your place?"
