I recently purchased a genuine HP server recently retired from service by the 
county courthouse, it was used by the 911 call center and had  all the real 
estate info on it for the entire county.  and GIS/GPS info

looks like a major box as it has dual redundant power supplies, with internal 
battery backup, weighs about 150 lbs, and is in a box the size of the 
shippingcrate for a 23 inch color tv (table model)  or if you know scopes: an old 
tektronix 545 scope

it is a pro-liant version.   seems complete except for the front panel plug 
in hard drive...the bastards kept the hard drive with the data on it... there 
is slots for 10 each hard drives

Any interest within the group for this item for use by anyone updating a 
server...  this seems to be the bomb proof real thing  if we (us RTTY hams) are 
using much older boxes, this would be an upgrade server.  I assume it is 3 or 4 
years old.
 
Why they replaced it?  Probably received some federal money in to upgrade.  
So we will be ready for a 9/11 attack on our court house.
