Hey Guys!

Since this "item" seems to be of such interest I thought I'd pass on my
experience on ebay with one when there was suddenly a tremendous number
available two years ago.

I didn't have to pay much for it, thank goodness,  As I recall it was less
than $50 plus shipping.   It arrived and the print head had not been secured
since the seller was one of those "I don't know what this is but it's in
good shape" people.  When I see those words now I quickly turn off the
computer.  That heavy print head really did a number on itself and on the
unit internally.   But I was never able to get it to work and I even went to
the effort to find documentation and a source for ribbons (no small task at
the time.)  I never saw anyone offering replacement circuit boards.   If you
want something that will print and actually work why not get an old epson or
Hewlett Packard?

but, if you want some advice, go find a model 14.   You can figure out how
those things work just by looking at them and even a solidly rusted one will
probably work after some work with 400 wet/dry and some light oil!
