Tom,
I know the TT-4 well, I spent my year in Viet Nam keeping them going. Did
it come with the waterproof cover? What version do you have (A, B, C?)
The TM 11-5815-206-12 manual is the operator's manual; you probably want TM
11-5815-206-35 which is the maintenance manual. The AWA Museum has a copy
of the -12 manual and also a copy of the original TT-4/TG manual, TM
11-2234.
If you can't find a TT-4 manual, the TT-98 is a "deluxe" version of the
TT-4, but most or the basic mechanisms are the same. The TT-98 maintenance
manual is TM 11-5815-200-35. I have a pdf file of it (11 MB - too big to
email), don't know where I got it from, but probably off of the web
somewhere.
The TT-4 is the major component of the AN/PGC-1; the TT-98 is the major
component of the AN/FGC-20 & AN/UGC-4.
If you can't find a manual and/or have specific questions, let me know and
I'll try to answer them. If you really want to see the -12 manual, I could
scan it into a pdf file and put it up on Gil's "online folder". (The TM
11-2234 manual is probably too old [doesn't cover the A, B, & C versions]
and too big [> 250 pages] to bother scanning. But could be helpful in
doing basic adjustments.)
