Just to start my day off right, here is wishing everyone a happy 
Thanksgiving day.

I caught a bit of the news last night that says conditions in Baghdad 
are much improved and some of the 4 million Iraqis that fled the country 
have begun returning. That is good news for us since our son is 
currently somewhere south of Baghdad. He is with the 1st Brigade, 504 
Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division. He was in the 
states on leave last month long enough to get engaged to a young woman 
that has been reeling him in for a year and a half, and I had hoped he 
would be home for Christmas. But it appears that they will be deployed 
until at least March.

So we have much to be thankful for on this uniquely American holiday.
