He is probably using a UART to RS232 on computer.  Byte
Magazine in the April 1977 and May 1977 discussed this.
  For myself I would like to do this.  Heavy Metal has a program
but it is too complicated for my.  If it is a TTY machine I can
handle that but software is still a hassle for me.  I use Windows
XP Pro.  If anyone can help me I would appreciate it.
  Also If anyone wants a copy of the Byte article let me know.
