The only on eBay is not exactly like the one I have.

You could be correct as I remember The 101 WUTco machine I had made by  
Underwood also had a pull out base.

Anyway the Bell System one here is an oddity as many of us have never  
seen one before.

John,

I have one of these special cabinet 15s in my garage.  I showed the  
machine to Jim Haynes when he was here.
Apparently these are a special cabinet used where the machines were  
placed against each other side to side and wired across the combined  
bases of all of the machines.
This would be a like a major weather bureau, a news bureau, or a  
government installation.  The cover opens and the whole inside of the  
machine pulls out on a maintenance table.
If any of you want to see close up images of this arrangement reply to  
this email.  I need to take the photos around noon time as it is  
getting very cold in our garage.

These are quite rare; made by Teletype under orders from the Bell  
System.
