I passed the Radio Amateurs Exam and took Morse classes when I was still 
at school. Finally got the VHF only licence about 1970 in preparation 
for a DXpedition to Andorra with the College radio society. Let it lapse 
after several years when I realised I didn't need a radio to play with 
teleprinters.
