Windows Media Player 7.1. I've upgrded to 9, NOT worth it.

Real Player 7

WinAmp 2.10, I've also played with 3 and 5

Mplayer 5.2

Quick Time 5.02

All versions are the freebies.

For older software, I just type the program and version in google and
download from a likely looking site. You can also try download.cnet.com and
oldversion.com, which currently has WinAmp 0.2 to 5.24.

I generally start at the newest version, install it, if I have trouble, go
back one, try that, back again and so forth until I find something
compatable, stable and secure, then burn that version to my "Media Players"
CD.
