Gentleman and Fellow RTTY'ers:
Finallly, I have a transmitter up and running RTTY aboard
the Battleship New Jersey. It is Urt/23 using afsk and 850/170 shift.
I tested it last weekend and it seems to be fine. I plan to run rtty
this
Saturday Feb 7 at 1300 hrs local- 1800hrs UTC at 300 watts.
I will be using a Model 15 and model 14 T/D with brag tape to start off
with.
All contacts will be entered into the lod and subject to all contact
status.
It has been technically fun as I had to learn much about the military
versions
of equipment, patch panels, re-wiring de-milled equipment etc.
If you are interested I will be on NJ2BB around 14.090 mhz fsk.
If you contact us with computers please remember to turn on carriage
return and line feed.
73's and look forward to Saturday.
The people on this reflector have been terrific. Too many to name for
all the help. Thanks all.
