Hi Lee:

It appears that Tri-Flow is competing with WD-40 (Water Displacement formula 
40) as a penetrating oil and is not primarily a lubricant.

Kroil is an excellent penetrating oil.  It works much better than WD-40 for 
loosening rusted or jammed nuts and bolts.

Lubricants, like made by Nye, are modern chemistries optimized for the 
application.  These tailored lubricants have much better long term properties 
than the old organic based ones.
