Thanks, Dino. Yes, I think a) my socket head set screws are stripped.
And b) it looks like my main control switch has a problem. I will write
to Bill Henry to see if he sells these parts
Thanks
Eugene

Anyone know what size allen wrench (hex wrench) is used on the knob set
screws? The main control knob seems to be loose and I am concerned it
may be stripped. My SAE sizes seem to big or small. Is this metric?
When I replaced the knob on one of mine I used a 1/16 wrench that seemed
to do the job (at least that's what it says in my maintenance notes from
back in 2001).
Also, my main mode control knob (track, m/fc, sp/sh, etc) seems to have
10 positions, whereas the labeling on the panel seems to indicate only 5
. I wonder if my switch could have lost a "stop" or if there should be
10 positions?
Sounds like you have a problem with that switch....it should only have
four detent positions that it goes to: Track - M/fc - SP/SH - Baud; note
that it does not go to what appears to be the "Var" position as that
indicator is for the smaller switch immediately to the lower right of
the mode switch. As an aside, depending on the age of your box the
Memory switch may only indicate six positions when there are in fact
actually eight memories; later boxes had eight positions marked on the
front panel.
Thanks!
Eugene
It's a great TU Eugene....have fun!
