Hi Everyone,
As the resident Morse operator of this list, I feel compeled to point out
what appears to be a fully outfitted Morse desk in the photo. The White
swing-arm resonator just to the right of the woman's "angel wing"
(scapula?). You can see the cone shaped desk mount of the resonator
attached to the desk and the swinging arm disappearing into the woman's
right shoulder. The resonator box that holds the sounder is on the end of
the arm obscured by her head. Also just behind the cone shaped desk mount
is a typewriter. This was most likely a telegrapher's mill or all-caps
typewriter though I'm not knowledgeable about these enough to tell if it's
all caps from this angle. Just under the horizontal swinging arm is what
appears to be a speed-key or bug. I can't see it well enough to make a
guess at what type it is but I'm reasonably certain that's what it is.
Seems like this was a real working telegraph office that still had a Morse
wire in addition to teletype!
