Today I read the two-page flier for the ST-8000 (non-A) and noted that  
it can be run with a second one in diversity mode.  The 8000A spec  
sheet indicates that there is an option for diversity operation:

"OPTIONS:
Option 01: Diversity Option - Allows connection of two ST-8000A's in
combination diversity operation. ...."

I wonder if you can use a 6000 and an 8000A in the same way.
