Thanks for pointing out the set up buttons on the bottom on the window.

I have the program running smoothly on one of the XP machines now.

Unfortunately I'm still having issues with the Dell GX-270. At this point I
suspect the registry settings as I had fiddled with them earlier trying to
get the serial ports to work properly. (Things like child processes etc.)

Obviously it gripes me when something works on one machine and 
doesn't on another.
