I took the time to watch the video about the Mullard Blackburn plant  
and how valves were made.  It was interesting to me to realize that  
I'd recovered a 14 watt Heath mono amplifier from storage this weekend  
that has two of the EL-84 tubes in it.  It is the EL-84 that's  
featured in the film.

It was perfectly clear to me after seeing the complexity of the  
processes that we are extremely lucky to have at least some few tubes  
still in production.  We have the audiofools and guitar players to  
thank at least in part.  I'm also grateful to have a modest of better  
supply here of tubes I am likely to need in the future.  For most of  
them, "they ain't makin' them any more!"

Long live our valves!
