I perfectly understand keeping something in period parts for archival or museum displays. But 40/60 solder??? Does it matter whether it was WECO or Kester or the old Bernstein-Applebee house brand rosin core 40/60 (or is it 60/40)/???

I wish that I had that kind of money to be able to spend a 1000 bucks on a line cord and not think twice about it! (Even if I did, I wouldn't. At my age, even if there was a subtle difference in sound quality (which I truly doubt that there is), my ears would not be able to detect it.)
