I'm not sure of the dates - but Kleinschmidt was purchased by SCM
sometime before the era you are referring to. All of the Kleins we (my
wife and I) had on Guam also carried SCM labels. The specific units of
that era that were popularly used by the Air Force (I was Navy) were the
TT-117 (Keyboard / typer) and TT-179 (tape reader/typing
punch/reperf/switch board and loop supply) and their siblings. At one
point Sherry and I owned over 60 machines - purchased from a Government
sale.

The SCM label is clearly visible on the TT-179 tape unit in the top
picture.
Point being - if you're looking for SCM teletype equip. - look for
Kleinschmidt...
