[GreenKeys] Opinions wanted for best HF converter

Howdy Folks,
As I mentioned in my last post (Kleinschmidt TT-4) I'm getting
back into RTTY after being out of it for many years. I'd like
to hear from folks here what is the best receiving converter
for HF.  I've got;

Hal ST-6000 and RVD-1002 video display
Dovetron MPC-1000R and TBA-1000 baudot to ASCII converter

Just saw a Hal ST-8000 on fleabay today sell for a very reasonable
price. Is this a good candidate?

The best converter I ever had used 88mH torroids. Its in the
1977 ARRL handbook. This thing would give good copy when
I could barely hear the AFSK in the noise.
